Cops make pizzas for Make-a-Wish Foundation

<b>First Posted:</b> 10/21/2007<br><br>James Booth, of Pittston, died October 16, 2007, in Hospice Community Care at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. 
Born in Pittston, he was a son of the late Edmund and Mary Cawley Booth. 
He graduated from St. John the Evangelist High School in 1957. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. 
Prior to retirement, he was employed as an investigator for the Department of State for the Commonwealth of PA. After retirement, he dedicated his life to his grandchildren. 
Mr. Booth served 10 years of active duty in the U.S. Navy and later retired from the Army National Guard in November of 1991. 
Surviving are his daughters Suzanne McCabe and husband Chris, Pittston; and Kathleen Matias and husband James, Old Forge; his loving grandchildren Zachary and Jacob McCabe; and Juliana, James and Josiah Matias; brother Edmund Clark and wife Elaine, Dupont; sisters Mary Jo Soricelli and husband Joseph, Burke, Va.; Laura Booth, Newark, Del.; Erin Ostroski, Pittston; and Carla Schumacher, Pittston; several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services were Oct. 19 from the Ruane &amp; Regan Funeral Home, 18 Kennedy St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. Interment, Mount Olivet Cemetery.
