Appletree raises funds for Meeting House

<b>First Posted:</b> 11/7/2007<br><br>Fifty-one current students and recent graduates of Wyoming Seminary have been named AP Scholars by the College Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level AP (Advanced Placement) Examinations. About 18 percent of the more than 1.3 million students who took AP Examinations in May 2007 performed at a sufficiently high level to merit such recognition.
Three Wyoming Seminary students qualified for the National AP Scholar award by earning an average grade of four or higher on a five-point scale on all AP Exams taken, and grades of four or higher on eight or more of these exams. One of these students, Carrie Craven of Clarks Summit, graduated in May, 2007. 
Twenty-one Seminary students qualified for the AP Scholar With Distinction award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of three or higher on five or more of these exams. Students who graduated in May, 2007 are Craven and Janine Musheno, Clarks Summit. 
Eight students qualified for the AP Scholar With Honor award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on AP exams taken and grades of three or higher on four or more of those exams. Rita DiLeo, Clarks Summit, graduated in May 2007 and Lauren Onofrey of Waverly earned the distinction as a junior.
Twenty-two students qualified for the AP Scholar award by completing three or more AP Examinations with grades of three or higher. Seniors named to the list include Luke Rogers of Clarks Summit.
