<p>It is predicted that residents of the Wyoming Valley can look forward to several days of periodic showers for the close of the work week.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 69 degrees as of 7:01 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with a light rain kicking off the day.</p><p>Overcast skies are expected today, with a chance of showers throughout the day. Today&#8217;s high will be near 69 degrees.</p><p>Tonight will bring a continued chance of showers, with cloudy skies. The low will be around 48 degrees.</p><p>Tomorrow will again bring a chance of showers, with a high near 59 degrees expected.</p><p>Thursday night more showers are expected, with cloudy skies and a low of near 47.</p><p>Friday will bring a continued chance of rain with a high near 54, continuing through Friday night with a low near 47.</p><p>The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook today addressing Tropical Storm Joaquin and its effect on Luzerne, Lackawanna, Pike and Southern Wayne counties later this week.</p><p>The statement issued said &#8220;there remains a lot of uncertainty (regarding the storm), however, some potential exists for this system to bring flooding to parts of this region,&#8221; referring to the period between Friday and Sunday.</p><p>Be sure to check out our <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/weather" target="_blank">weather page</a> for the up-to-date forecast and radar!</p><style>
