Mental health program set at Bloomsburg University; public is welcome

<p>OLD FORGE &#8212; A Lackawanna County man died Wednesday from injuries sustained in a 2014 crash that took the life of his 12-year-old son.</p><p>Leonard Zupon Sr., 58, died at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton Wednesday evening, according to Lackawanna County Coroner Timothy Rowland.</p><p>Zupon Sr. and his son, Leonard Zupon Jr., were struck by a drunk driver on South Keyser Avenue in Old Forge late last August. Zupon Jr., who had just entered the seventh grade at Scranton&#8217;s All Saints Academy, died from his injuries a few hours after the crash.</p><p>Neither the father or son were wearing seat belts, according to police.</p><p>The driver, David Turano, who had fled the scene of the wreck on foot, pleaded guilty in March to homicide by motor vehicle, driving under the influence and aggravated assault.
