<p>Hurricane Joaquin has altered its path overnight but the east coast is not completely cleared from its wrath, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.</p><p>The new path does not clear the Wyoming Valley from heavy rain and wind from the storm during the early part of next week. Currently, NOAA predicts the Wyoming Valley region will receive up to an inch of rain from the storm.</p><p>Thursday night, the hurricane intensified to a Category 4 storm. NOAA reported the eye of Hurricane Joaquin was nearly 30 miles north-northeast of Clarence Town on Long Island in the Bahamas</p><p>Joaquin&#8217;s path will head northeast into the Atlantic Ocean, but the United States&#8217; eastern seaboard will still receive high winds, heavy rain with the possibility of flooding.</p><p>NOAA predicts by Monday, the hurricane will be off the coast of Cape Hatteras in North Carolina with wind speeds of 100-miles-per-hour. Tuesday Joaquin will be off the coast of New York City with sustaining winds of 75- miles-per-hour. Wednesday the storm is predicted to be above Maine and head out to sea.</p><style>
