Membership soaring for area Pheasants Forever chapter

<p>Coyotes are opportunistic carnivores. They&#8217;re despised by some because they prey on deer and small game, but that doesn&#8217;t comprise all of their diet. In fact, small rodents are commonly feasted upon by coyotes. This trail camera photo sent in by Bill Tomalinas shows a pair of coyotes in the Mountaintop area investigating a snow-covered field last winter. It seems to back up the notion that mice and other rodents are a big part of their diet, as the coyotes appear to be investigating the grass clumps hoping to snag a mouse or vole hiding underneath.</p><p><em>Capture anything interesting on your hand-held or trail camera?
