Pittston Memorial Library offering fall garden series

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Blues-rock and guitar legend Joe Bonamassa will return to the F.M. Kirby Center at 8 p.m. on May 19.</p><p>Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and will be available through the Kirby Center box office, online at www.kirbycenter.org and charge by phone at 570-826-1100. A special Kirby member pre-sale begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Ticket prices are $79, $89, $99 and $125, plus applicable fees.</p><p>Bonamassa will be backed by a stellar band of legendary musicians, including Anton Fig (drums), Michael Rhodes (bass), Reese Wynans (piano, Hammond organ), Lee Thornburg (trumpet, horn arrangements), Paulie Cerra (saxophone), and background singers to bring new life to the show which will feature new songs and career-spanning favorites.</p><p>Bonamassa&#8217;s career began onstage at age 12, opening for B.B. King in 1989. Today, he is hailed worldwide as one of the greatest guitar players of his generation, and is an ever-evolving singer-songwriter who has released 17 solo albums in the last 15 years, all on his own label, J&amp;R Adventures.</p><style>
