<p>Wilkes-Barre&#8212;Susan G. Komen Northeastern Pennsylvania will hold a gala at Mohegan Sun Pocono on Friday, Oct. 9 to celebrate 25 years of the Komen NEPA Race for the Cure.</p><p>Happenings Communications Group President Paula Mackarey and Vice President of Marketing and Sales Director for Fidelity Deposit and Discount Bank Joann Marsili have been named co-chairs of the celebration and fund raising event.</p><p>&#8220;Over 85 business leaders joined the gala committee,&#8221; Mackarey said in a prepared statement. &#8220;We are planning a special celebration and if this early committee support is any indication, we will have a fun and successful event.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;The Komen NEPA Race for the Cure is a terrific brand awareness event for the organization and the organization&#8217;s single largest fundraiser,&#8221; Marsili added.</p><p>Tickets for the gala are $150 and can be purchased <a href="https://secure.info-komen.org/site/Ecommerce?store_id=13417" target="_blank">here</a>.
