<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Local Woodlands nightclub owners, Rick and Gary Kornfeld, attempted something larger than life in Northeast Pennsylvania in 1979. They invested hundreds of thousands of dollars to create &#8220;the 25th Hour,&#8221; the most state-of-the-art nightclub in Northeast Pennsylvania at the time. To many patrons, the 25th Hour rivaled arguably even the famed Manhattan Studio 54.</p><p>No expense was spared. An interior designer was hired. A lighting designer created an illuminated dance floor environment. Moveable, dynamic theatrical designs and lighting electrified the nightclub ambience.</p><p>The results were throngs of customers lined up to get into the nightclub &#8211; seven days a week. The 25th Hour became &#8220;the scene&#8221; for an astounding 20 years. Decades of young revelers had their first nightclub experience at the Woodlands. It is said that many weddings began as romances struck at the 25th Hour.</p><p>Who said you can&#8217;t go home again? Now, sons Mitch, Rick, and Ross Kornfeld are recreating the legendary 25th Hour experience, complete with original, circa 1970-1990 nightclub music, dance floor, lighting and entertainment.</p><p>&#8220;I can&#8217;t tell you how many 25th Hour patrons have reminded me of some memorable 25th Hour experience they had, or have asked me, &#8216;When are you going to open the 25th Hour again?&#8217;&#8221; Rick Kornfeld said in a news release. &#8220;Well, we&#8217;ve all grown up &#8211; and many adults my age and older really miss this original experience they all enjoyed. The 25th Hour nightclub every Friday will now cater to 45 plus alumni &#8211; not millennials.&#8221;</p><p>The 25th Hour will inaugurate with a grand opening party Friday, Nov. 6. Every Friday at the Woodlands, the 25th Hour will be the original nightclub experience catering to all 25th Hour alumni and all those who grew up on the music of the 1970s through 1990s.</p><style>
