<p>SCRANTON &#8212; The Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple will host Idol Kings: A Tribute to Journey, John Mellencamp and Tom Petty in their Grand Ballroom 8 p.m. Oct. 16. Proceeds from the concert will benefit the ongoing operations, restoration and programming at the center.</p><p>&#8220;We don&#8217;t get to play many theaters,&#8221; Idol Kings member Michael Crow said in a news release. &#8220;I wish we could, but there simply aren&#8217;t many left. Playing a benefit concert for the Cultural Center helps to keep this opportunity available for our community, so we are pleased to do it.&#8221;</p><p>Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Light fare and a cash bar will be available throughout the event. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the center&#8217;s box office or by calling 570-344&#8211;1111.
