Man arrested in Wilkes-Barre prostitution sting

Luzerne County five-year financial recovery plan released

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A man initially thought to be wanted for a drive-by shooting in Scranton ran from police at the Intermodal Center Friday afternoon and was later jailed on a parole violation.</p><p>Police said Jovon Jones, 20, of York was not the suspect in the Scranton shooting, but was on state parole. A condition of his release was that he cooperate with police if contacted by them, police said. But Jones fled from an officer who approached him in the Intermodal Center and ran through secure employee areas in the Best Western Plus Genetti Hotel &amp; Conference Center before he was caught on South Pennsylvania Avenue.</p><p>Police charged Jones with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass and was committed to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on the parole violation.</p><style>
