Wilkes-Barre woman charged after ‘threatening people with hand guns’

<p>BEACH LAKE &#8212; The Old Time Fiddlers of northeast Pennsylvania will host their annual fiddle festival at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18 at the Beach Lake Fire Hall, 1033 Beach Lake Highway, Route 652. Doors will open at 1:00pm. Fiddlers will have a 15 minute showcase to perform their favorite tunes and songs.</p><p>&#8220;This is live traditional music at its best, featuring fiddlers and other musicians from the tri-state area,&#8221; organizer Steve Jacobi wrote in a press release. Some of the styles represented are bluegrass, Old-time, Celtic, western swing and Canadian. Requests are encouraged from the audience and refreshments will be available throughout the day.</p><p>The fire hall is handicap accessible. The Old Time Fiddlers (a non-profit organization) are celebrating their 36th year of performing and promoting traditional music in the area.</p><p>&#8220;This music is part of our heritage in this area so we encourage everyone to come out and support it,&#8221; Jacobi said. &#8220;It&#8217;s our last event for 2015 and we hope to see many friends gathered for the day.</p><p>Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors 65 and older, $5 for students older than 12 and free for children 12 and younger.</p><p>For more information, call 570-224-6330.</p><style>
