<p>STROUDSBURG&#8212;The AndersonPonty Band, a joint musical effort between original YES singer/songwriter Jon Anderson and French violinist Jean Luc Ponty, will play Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg Oct. 23.</p><p>Anderson was a founding member of YES, who released their self-titled debut full-length in 1969. He has also released numerous solo albums, starting with 1976&#8217;s &#8220;Olias of Sunhillow.&#8221; September 2015&#8217;s &#8220;Better Late Than Never&#8221; live album marks his first release as part of The AndersonPonty Band. The CD+DVD features 14 tracks and an hour-long live video recording of the band with interviews.</p><p>Ponty specializes in jazz and, along with producing a range of solo material starting with 1964&#8217;s &#8220;Jazz Long Playing,&#8221; has collaborated with artists such as Elton John and Frank Zappa.</p><p>The AndersonPonty Band&#8217;s Oct. 23 Sherman Theater performance is the first of their &#8220;Better Late Than Never&#8221; tour in support of the new album. Tickets to the 8 p.m. event range from $30 to $49 dollars and can be purchased at <a href="http://www.shermantheater.com/?e=event&amp;eventId=21993&amp;rDate=10/23/2015" target="_blank">Sherman Theater&#8217;s website</a>.
