<p><strong>Osterhout book shop to host</strong></p><p><strong>grand opening this morning</strong></p><p>WILKES-BARRE &#8211; The Friends of the Osterhout Free Library are having a grand opening of the new Friends Book Shop at 10 a.m. Friday, with snacks and refreshments for those in attendance.</p><p>The Friends Book Shop is located on the recently renovated third floor, which is accessible by stairs or the elevator.</p><p>Book shop hours are 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; and 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays.</p><p>Hundreds of new Penguin Putnam titles and gently-used donated books are for sale, all starting at $1. Stop by often, as more books are added each day.</p><p>The book shop is a new fundraiser of the Friends of the Osterhout Library. Funds raised via the book shop will be donated to the Osterhout to provide materials and programs that the library could not otherwise offer.</p><p>Volunteers for the new Friends Book Shop are needed.
