<p>DRUMS &#8212; The rescue greyhounds Robin and Matt Rimsky adopted are sweet, docile animals &#8212; nothing like the skeletal hounds of hell that appear to snarl fiercely with bared teeth as they stand guard outside the Rimskys&#8217; home.</p><p>Nevertheless, when Matt Rimsky saw the skeleton-dog sculptures in a catalogue, he ordered a trio in honor of the couple&#8217;s real dogs, Garak, Risa and Leeta.</p><p>If you recognize those names, you&#8217;ll suspect Rimsky is a Star Trek fan. He is, but he and his wife enjoy Halloween even more.</p><p>&#8220;Halloween&#8217;s my favorite holiday,&#8221; said Matt, who, over the past few years, has painstakingly carved by hand more than 70 jack-o&#8217;-lanterns (from artificial material, not natural pumpkin flesh) that line the driveway and cluster around trees in the front yard of the Rimsky home on Sand Springs Drive.</p><p>&#8220;Our house looks amazing, but I can&#8217;t take any credit,&#8221; said Robin, admitting her husband is the detail-oriented mastermind who went to the New York City garment district to find a realistic, posable mannequin he could dress as Mike Myers, the knife-wielding character from the &#8220;Halloween&#8221; movies.</p><p>&#8220;It creeps me out because the eyes follow me,&#8221; Robin said of the mannequin.</p><p>That said, she admits &#8220;Halloween&#8221; is one of her favorite horror movies. It&#8217;s a classic, she said, adding she also enjoys &#8220;The Rocky Horror Picture Show&#8221; for &#8220;campy, cheesy fun.&#8221;</p><p>When it came to decorating for Halloween, Matt Rimsky, who works at Electric Frog Designs, a graphic design business the couple owns, said he was going for elegance rather than a grotesque or tacky look.</p><p>He added two life-size mummies by the door, a cemetery of tombstones with zombies crawling up out of the earth and a nameless ghoul that trails at least 15 feet as it hangs from a tree.</p><p>Also in a tree and new this year is &#8220;Skelly,&#8221; a little skeleton with glowing orange eyes who sits and moves back and forth on a swing, illuminated at night by a spotlight.</p><p>&#8220;I do enjoy that skeleton on the swing,&#8221; neighbor Mary Ellen Thornton said. &#8220;He&#8217;s really cute and his eyes glow; they follow you. The dogs are really clever and it&#8217;s so pretty at night when all the bushes are lit up.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;It&#8217;s very entertaining and done in very good taste,&#8221; Thornton continued. &#8220;Children can enjoy it and adults can enjoy it. It&#8217;s a little spooky, but not too spooky.&#8221;</p><p>That&#8217;s just the fright level the Rimskys hoped to achieve.</p><p>&#8220;Scary, but not so scary that kids won&#8217;t come to the house,&#8221; Matt said.</p><p>Actually, Robin said, there have been a few younger children too afraid to approach and ask for treats on past Halloweens. But all was not lost. &#8220;I&#8217;ve run outside to give them candy,&#8221; she said.</p><style>
