Duryea man admits to beating man with pipe

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A convicted sex offender&#8217;s failure to maintain registration information has earned him more than a decade behind bars.</p><p>Guy C. Haughwout Sr., 47, of Avoca, was sentenced Monday in Luzerne County Court to spend 11 to 22 years in state prison on three counts of failure to provide accurate registration information and one count of failure to register with state police, according to court papers.</p><p>Judge Tina Polachek Gartley gave the man credit for 157 days served.</p><p>According to a pair of criminal complaints, Haughwout failed to register vehicles and address changes with state police.</p><p>Convicted in February 2002 of indecent assault, the man is subject to lifetime registration under Megan&#8217;s Law.
