Wyoming Valley free of major traffic congestion for morning commute

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Police say a man walking home on Wednesday night sustained gunshot wounds when a man tried to rob him.</p><p>Police say that victim was walking on High Street at approximately 11:29 p.m. The victim told police that a black male attempted to rob him, and that the man fired &#8220;several shots&#8221; and that one struck the victim.</p><p>The victim was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.</p><p>The suspect is described as a black man that is 5 feet, 3 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a puffy jacket, black pants and a black beanie hat.</p><p>Police say the incident is under investigation.</p><style>
