In Focus: Swoyersville residents take a public stance against racism

Cub Scout Pack 155, Trucksville, hold annual Chili Cook-OffDo you like it hot? Or spicy? Our Pack chefs have been tweaking their recipes and formulating their spices to compete in the Cub Scout Pack 155 Chili Cook-Off. We need the community to come out, taste and vote for your favorite.The annual Chili Cook-Off will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday in the Trucksville Early Childhood Education Center, 40 Knob Hill, Trucksville.Tickets are $7 for adults to sample one of every chili. After you enjoy our finest, cast your vote for your favorite. Top three winners will be announced during our following Pack meeting.Cooks are competing for the first place traveling trophy and bragging rights. Second and third place winners will also receive trophiesThere will also be a bake sale to satisfy those with a sweet tooth.If you walk away hungry, it is your own fault.This is our Cub Scout Pack&#8217;s biggest fund raiser of the year. Funds raised will be used to purchase pins, badges, belt loops and beads to correspond with the boys work and achievements.
