DUI charges in Academy Street crash

<p>ASHLEY &#8212; One woman was sent to the hospital after a fire destroyed her trailer home on Saturday afternoon.</p><p>Fire Chief Joe McGlynn said firefighters responded to 160 Janet Drive in the Cooney Mobile Home Park just after 1 p.m.</p><p>The owner of the home, who neighbors identified as Julie Cohen, was taken to the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital by Ashley EMS.</p><p>&#8220;She&#8217;s lucky,&#8221; McGlynn said. &#8220;She was sleeping in the back bedroom and the smoke woke her up.&#8221;</p><p>Ashley, Hanover Township and Sugar Notch fire departments all responded to the blaze, which is under investigation by the fire marshal.</p><style>
