As part of its dedication to military students, Keystone State College in La Plume will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Elmer R. Hawk &#8217;48 Center for Veterans at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Following the dedication, the 11th annual Veterans Day luncheon will take place in Evans Hall.The new center, located on the first floor of Alumni Hall in the center of campus, serves as a single point of contact for Keystone students who are military veterans or current members of the military. The Center offers a comfortable and convenient place where military students can meet, complete their school assignments on several new computers, relax, read, visit with friends and family members, or watch television. The Center is also the home of the Keystone College Armed Forces Club.Two national publications have once again named Keystone College as one of the best schools in the nation for current or former members of the military.For the seventh consecutive year, G.I. Jobs magazine has ranked Keystone among the top 20 percent of colleges and universities that are doing the most to recruit and retain students with military experience.Military Advanced Education &amp; Transition magazine has, for the sixth straight year, designated Keystone as one of the best schools in the nation for veterans or current military members to begin or continue their education.Keystone College has also been listed as one of the top schools for veterans and military service members by U.S. News &amp; World Report.
