The Board of Commissioners would like to see a Township Crime Watch.Police Commissioner John Zyla, Chief of Police Jeremy Blank and Representatives from Senator Yudichak&#8217;s and Rep. Mullery&#8217;s offices are inviting all residents of Newport Township to attend a meeting to discuss a Crime Watch within the township and address questions.Currently there is an active Crime Watch group in Glen Lyon and the commissioners, Senator Yudichak&#8217;s and Rep. Mullery&#8217;s offices, Commissioner Zyla and Chief Blank would like to have one throughout the township.The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the community room of the township building at 351 W. Kirmar Ave., Wanamie.
