Presentation shows highlights of 2015 for Greater Nanticoke Area

<p>WEST WYOMING &#8212; The proposed 2016 budget includes no tax increase or garbage or sewer fee increases, the borough council announced this month&#8217;s meeting.</p><p>The $859,520 balanced budget will be placed on the table for a 30-day review. Councilwoman Eileen Cipriani pointed out that there has been no tax increase in the borough since 2009. The property-tax rate remains at 1.5 mills. A mill is $1 of tax for every $1,000 in assessed value.</p><p>Councilman Michael Dolan announced that Hose Company No. 1 will be holding its annual fall craft show Saturday. Vendor space is available for $20 per table. For more information please call (570) 954-4531.</p><p>The hose company will also hold its annual Breakfast with Santa event from 8 a.m. to noon on Dec. 12 at the firehouse on Shoemaker Avenue.
