Out on a limb: Maps of the past hold answers to many ‘whys’

<p>Commuters could encounter some areas of traffic congestion on the way into work and school this morning.</p><p>Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476. Heavier traffic congestion is reported on Route 315 near East Main Street, as well as on Route 115 in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.</p><p>The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of traffic congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.</p><p>Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, scattered minor congestion is reported on Kidder and Mundy streets.</p><p>Downtown, several streets are reporting scattered areas of minor and heavy traffic. Affected areas include:</p><p>&#8226; Wilkes-Barre/South Wilkes-Barre boulevards</p><p>&#8226; Academy Street</p><p>&#8226; Hazle Street</p><p>&#8226; East Northampton Street</p><p>&#8226; Coal Street</p><p>&#8226; North / South River streets</p><p>In Kingston, scattered areas of minor and heavy traffic congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming avenue.</p><p>For up-to-date traffic information, including traffic cams, visit the Times Leader&#8217;s <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/traffic" target="_blank">traffic page</a>.</p><style>
