Anthony Zettel doesn&#8217;t imagine he&#8217;ll shed any tears during his final game at Beaver Stadium. Not like while watching King Kong.&#8220;From an emotional, like, crying perspective, I don&#8217;t know,&#8221; the Penn State senior said. &#8220;Everybody kind of handles it different. I try to be more inner. It&#8217;s all within myself.&#8220;Try not to cry too much even though I cry in some movies. King Kong is the saddest movie ever at the end.&#8221;Leave it to a defensive tackle to empathize with a 50-foot-tall ape.So maybe there won&#8217;t be any waterworks before Saturday senior day matchup with No. 12 Michigan. But it figures to be an emotional afternoon all the same, especially for Zettel and the group of fifth-year seniors that endured through the entire Jerry Sandusky scandal and its fallout.There are six of them still on the roster &#8212; Zettel, fellow captain Angelo Mangiro, tight end Kyle Carter, linebacker Ben Kline, defensive end Carl Nassib and wideout Matt Zanellato.&#8220;These are guys I spent a lot of time with when I was doing visits and stuff,&#8221; quarterback Christian Hackenberg said. &#8220;To me, it meant a lot. They took me under their wing, and it meant a lot to me to learn from them in terms of how they handled the situations and what they&#8217;ve been dealt.&#8220;They deserve to be sent out on a high note. They deserve to be sent out the right way.&#8221;It has a little extra meaning for Zettel, a Michigan native who grew up following the Wolverines but saw the program in turmoil at the tail end of the Rich Rodriguez era when it came time to pick a school.As it happens, Zettel has come up with an interception in each of his first two games against the maize and blue.And nearly every upperclassman, when asked this week, cited the last time that the Penn State hosted the Wolverines &#8212; a 43-40 four-overtime victory for the Nittany Lions in 2013 &#8212; as their most memorable game.&#8220;I&#8217;ll remember this the rest of my life,&#8221; Zettel said. &#8220;The moments walking out of the tunnel with my teammates, and then just the locker room times, just all the relationships you have with these guys, coaches, and everything. You&#8217;ll just never forget them.&#8221;THREE AND OUTNumbers gameOf course, all of that drama since 2011 created a huge amount of attrition. That explains why the Lions have just four full-time senior starters available for this game &#8212; Manigro, Nassib, Zettel and cornerback Trevor Williams.Michigan, meanwhile, is expected to have 17 starters &#8212; six offense, seven defense and both specialists &#8212; who are in their fourth or fifth year in the program.Despite two coaching changes of their own in this recent stretch, the Wolverines have retained plenty of players and have one of the most experienced rosters in the country, which has contributed to their quick turnaround under Jim Harbaugh.&#8220;They&#8217;re the oldest team in the Big Ten, and they&#8217;re the oldest team in the country,&#8221; Lions coach James Franklin said. &#8220;The combination of that, the staff, the fact that (Harbaugh predecessor Brady Hoke) had two top-five and a top-10 recruiting class &#8212; the combination of all those things together has worked out well for them. They&#8217;re playing really good football right now.&#8221;Missing manPenn State would normally have five seniors starting, but the Lions lost safety Jordan Lucas to a season-ending injury early in the last game against Northwestern.The Lions have another fourth-year player to plug in at strong safety &#8212; redshirt junior Malik Golden &#8212; but Lucas&#8217; injury stings the team&#8217;s already thin depth, particularly in nickel and dime packages.&#8220;There&#8217;s no doubt about it,&#8221; Franklin said. &#8220;We&#8217;re looking at different ways of solving some of those challenges and some of those issues &#8212; whether we play more corners in those situations, that&#8217;s kind of what we&#8217;re working on this week.&#8220;We have a plan, but obviously we haven&#8217;t practiced yet to see how comfortable we feel yet with that plan.&#8221;Security measuresPenn State typically asks fans to get inside the stadium early for the home finale as senior day ceremonies will start at 11:30 a.m.There&#8217;s another reason this year, however, as last week&#8217;s terrorist attacks in Paris have sporting venues worldwide on heightened alert.Gates will open a half-hour early on Saturday &#8212; 10 a.m. instead of 10:30 &#8212; to accommodate increased security measures. Fans will be subject to pat-downs and bag searches before entering Beaver Stadium.Penn State is asking fans to consider not bringing any bags at all &#8212; backpacks and larger bags are prohibited entirely &#8212; in order to speed up the security lines.<style>
