NOXEN &#8212; State Police in Tunkhannock are investigating the alleged assault of a 15-year-old girl that occurred when two suspects became irate after the victim found marijuana in their residence and threatened to call the police.Police said the two suspects, a 39-year-old male and 38-year-old female, entered into an altercation with the juvenile Wednesday at 121 Main St. in Noxen as she attempted to use a cell phone to call police.During the tussle, the female suspect allegedly pushed the juvenile&#8217;s head into the headboard of a bed, which police said caused swelling and bruising on the victim&#8217;s forehead. The male suspect allegedly grabbed the victim by the arm and caused causing large scratches, police said.The male suspect then called Pennsylvania State Police to report that the juvenile had committed the assault, police said. Upon arrival, officers noticed multiple bruises on the juvenile.The victim was taken into protective custody by the police.
