SCRANTON &#8212; Cooper Califano scored three touchdowns and Brendan Mozeleski added the fourth on a late interception return Friday night as Old Forge defeated Wellsboro, 28-21, in a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Class A football playoff game.The Blue Devils advance to the state quarterfinals for the second time in school history, with both trips coming in the last three years.Old Forge, the Lackawanna Football Conference Division 3 and District 2 Class A champions, is 12-1 with its only loss coming to Lake-Lehman. The Blue Devils advance to face District 12 champion Wyncote Bishop McDevitt next week.Mozeleski&#8217;s 30-yard touchdown return with 2:07 remaining gave Old Forge a 28-14 lead over the District 4 champions, who were making their state tournament debut.Califano had given Old Forge the lead three times in the game. He scored on a 7-yard run in the first quarter, a 42-yard pass in the second quarter and a 22-yard run in the third.Joey Gutowski threw the touchdown pass and finished 9 for 10 for 119 yards.Califano ran for 115 yards and caught four passes for 62 yards.Wellsboro finished 10-3.
