Valley West falls hard to Parkland

<p>After the rain passes, it&#8217;s shaping up to be a calm weekend in the Wyoming Valley.</p><p>The National Weather Service reported that it was 49 degrees at 7:12 a.m at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre International Airport. Today will have periods of rain, mainly before 11 a.m., with the high at a mild 51 degrees.</p><p>Tonight&#8217;s low will be 33 degrees.</p><p>Sunday will be a great day for travelling home from the holiday weekend, as the skies stay sunny and clear with a high of 45 and a low near 27.</p><p>To begin the work week, Monday will be sunny with a high of 42. Monday night is the next chance for rain.
