Minor, heavy congestion could add time to the morning commute

<p>Skies are expected to clear, which should make for a sunny &#8212; yet cooler &#8212; weekend in the Wyoming Valley.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 40 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies kicking off the day.</p><p>A 50 percent chance of rain is expected today, with the best chance of rain before 9 a.m. Cloudy skies are expected otherwise, and today&#8217;s high will be near 43.</p><p>Mostly cloudy skies will stick around into tonight, with a low around 33.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies will return to wrap up the week on Friday, with a high near 44. Partly cloudy skies are expected on Friday night, with a low around 32.</p><p>Sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with a high near 47. Clear skies are expected into Saturday night, with a low around 31.</p><p>Sunny skies will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 51.
