Former CFO of Northeast Title and Tag heading to higher court on felony theft charges

Impartiality, where it exists in any government today, is a very valuable commodity. Enthusiasm, in any contemporary workplace, is a huge plus. And patience, we know, has long been considered a virtue everywhere.So it&#8217;s difficult to understand why there&#8217;s no place in Luzerne County&#8217;s political future for County Manager Bob Lawton. He brought enthusiasm, impartiality and great patience to the job four years ago. More than any other individual administrator, his work has allowed home rule to succeed, even flourish.He should be receiving a bonus, a contract and essential support staff. Instead, he&#8217;s job-hunting.What does this say about Luzerne County? Nothing very good, I&#8217;m afraid.Rob BurnsideKingston
