KINGSTON: Church of Christ Uniting, 190 South Sprague Avenue in Kingston, is hosting a service of hope and light at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.The holiday season, full of Christmas cheer, can be a reflective time and this candlelit service will have carols, scripture readings and advent devotionals for a quieter time to remember the season of hope and light. Stephen Ministers will be available to offer personal prayers for healing.A soup and bread supper will follow the service in Fellowship Hall. For directions and parking contact the church office at 570-288-8434.WEST PITTSTON: Christ&#8217;s Community Clothes Closet at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church on 317 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston has announced holiday hours.We will be open Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m., closing from Dec. 17 through January 5, reopening at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6.This clothes closet is open to the community without charge and includes children, women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s clothing.Donations of gently used clothing are still accepted during the holiday closing and can as placed in the clothing shed in the church parking lot at any time.
