<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; To ensure the safety of all travelers, the SMG staff at Mohegan Sun Arena, along with local township police, have set traffic provisions in place for Friday&#8217;s Trans-Siberian Orchestra shows.</p><p>The TSO brings its all-new show entitled &#8216;The Ghosts of Christmas Eve,&#8221; presented by Hallmark Channel, for two performances at 3:30 and 8 p.m. Friday at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Township.</p><p>&#8226; The intersection from Mundy Street to Highland Park Boulevard will be closed from approximately 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. to allow for traffic flow from the venue after the 3:30 p.m. performance. Only emergency vehicles will be allowed to turn onto Highland Park Boulevard from Mundy Street during this time.</p><p>&#8226; Motorists driving to the Wyoming Valley Mall, Wilkes-Barre Township Commons, Arena Hub Plaza and surrounding areas are encouraged to use exit 170B on Interstate 81 between the hours of 2:30 and 4 p.m. and 5 to 8:30 p.m.</p><p>&#8226; The Mohegan Sun Arena parking lot will open at 1:30 p.m. for the 3:30 p.m. TSO show.</p><p>&#8226; The Mohegan Sun Arena parking lot will open at approximately 6:40 p.m. for the 8 p.m. performance.</p><p>&#8226; General parking for the Mohegan Sun Arena parking lot is $10 cash only.</p><p>&#8226; Customers with VIP Parking or Reserved Parking are encouraged to use the left hand lane when entering the parking lot from Highland Park Boulevard. Ticket holders are encouraged to carpool to the event if possible.</p><p>&#8226; There are six lanes of traffic entering the arena parking lot &#8211; four from Highland Park Boulevard and 2 from Mundy Street.</p><p>&#8226; Doors for each performance are scheduled to open one hour prior to the event start time (subject to change based on event approval).</p><p>In order to best ensure safety, SMG and the management staff at Mohegan Sun Arena will screen all attendees using a metal detector wand prior to admission. In cases in which a person, by reason of medical necessity, is unable to submit to this screening process, that person may request a manual pat down by security. Bag checks will also be conducted.
