Happy birthday to Owen Thomas Cipriani!

<p>Mark and Colleen Flaherty of Hanover Township announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Nicole Flaherty, to Kyle Emerick, son of David Emerick, Wyoming, and Debbie Mecca, Dickson City.</p><p>The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mary Steininger and the late Joseph Steininger of Wilkes-Barre, and Lorraine Flaherty and the late Gerald Flaherty of Wilkes-Barre.</p><p>She is a 2008 graduate of Holy Redeemer High School. In 2012 she received her bachelor&#8217;s degree in early childhood education, elementary education and special education from Misericordia University and obtained her master&#8217;s degree in education specializing in reading specialist from Misericordia University in 2015. The bride-to-be is employed by the Hanover Area School District as a second and third grade learning support teacher.</p><p>The prospective groom is the grandson of Gerald Emerick and the late Barbara Emerick, Maryland, and the late Stanley and Blanche Sypniewski, Wilkes-Barre. He is a 2005 graduate of Pittston Area High school. He is employed by Mid State Lumber Corporation as the company foreman.</p><p>The couple resides in Wilkes-Barre with their dog, Kolby.</p><p>Kyle and Nicole were engaged on Nov. 24, 2014. The couple will be united in marriage on June 25, 2016, at St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre, with a reception to follow at A Touch of Class at the Palace in Parson&#8217;s.</p><style>
