WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Advice given to Bob Chepalonis has led him right.Chepalonis helps lead Martz Trailways in its day-to-operations as general manager. He has the responsibility over revenue and cost factors, budgeting, safety, equipment maintenance, operations and customer service. He uses advice, given to him by his uncle, to help in his decision making.Chepalonis took time from from his busy scheduled to talk to the Times Leader.Where did you go to college?&#8220;Bloomsburg University&#8221;What was your major? &#8220;Mathematics&#8221;What was your first job out of college?&#8220;Terminal manager for a trucking company&#8221;What has been the best advice you received in business?&#8220;Use common sense in your decisions. &#8221;If your business had a limitless budget, what would be three things you would do differently?&#8226; &#8220;Paid health care for all employees and families.&#8221;&#8226; &#8220;Every motorcoach would be less than five years old.&#8221;&#8226; &#8220;Offer free continuing education to all employees.&#8221;What are the area&#8217;s biggest strengths and weaknesses?&#8220;The strengths are our universities in Scranton and Wilkes Barre, the work ethic of the long-standing people and growth of industrial parks and employment in the area.&#8221;&#8220;The weakness are crime and that the overall perception of NEPA is poor at times.&#8221;Where did you grow up?&#8220;Exeter&#8221;Tell us about your family.&#8220;Wife: Married 19 years to Amy (Stascavage).&#8220;Daughters: Lindsey, 14, Holy Redeemer High School; and Jordan, 11, Wyoming Area Catholic School&#8221;What&#8217;s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?&#8220;Feed the cats, let the dogs outside, make coffee and read over the night notes from work.&#8221;What&#8217;s the last thing you do at night before you fall asleep?&#8220;Watch the news and read the daily dispatch notes.&#8221;Where&#8217;s your favorite place to go on vacation? &#8220;Aruba&#8221;What&#8217;s your biggest fear?&#8220;Not having a plan in place.&#8221;What&#8217;s your favorite restaurant and/or meal?&#8220;Zuppa de Clams over linguine&#8221;What do you want to do when you retire? &#8220;Move to Florida.&#8221;<style>
