<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Spring Street resident became a victim of a phone scam, losing $500 Saturday, according to police.</p><p>The Wilkes-Barre resident received a phone call stating his son was captured and in danger. The caller instructed the victim to wire $500 to Puerto Rico for the safe return of his son.</p><p>The money was sent.</p><p>The victim later discovered his son was never in danger.</p><style>
