Scratch off lottery tickets stolen from Allen Mart in Wilkes-Barre

<p>FORTY FORT &#8212; Two-year-old Autumn River Williams kept in touch with Santa via a pretend phone all year, but at the Forty Fort Christmas in the Park party on Sunday, she only peaked at him.</p><p>&#8220;She said Santa was much bigger than the elves,&#8221; said Karen Williams, Autumn&#8217;s mother.</p><p>The third annual holiday event provided children and their parents an opportunity to have some old-fashioned outdoor family fun and socialize with each other.</p><p>Santa, who arrived by fire truck, sat under the pavilion for pictures with children while listening to last-minute wish list items. At times the line to see Santa stretched to the sidewalk along Wyoming Avenue in Forty Fort.</p><p>Children also carried on the three-year tradition of making paper ornaments for Camryn&#8217;s Tree. Camryn&#8217;s Tree is named in memory of Camryn Schultz, a two-year-old Forty Fort resident who was shot by her father in 2013.</p><p>Camryn&#8217;s mother, Jessica, put the angel on the top of the tree.</p><p>&#8220;It&#8217;s emotional,&#8221; Jessica said watching children hang ornaments on the tree. &#8220;I can&#8217;t thank the community enough for keeping her memory alive.&#8221;</p><p>Christmas in the Park started at 2 p.m. Sunday and attracted nearly 400 people from the West Side area, Forty Fort Mayor Andy Tuzinski said.</p><p>&#8220;The event is sponsored by Families for Forty Fort Park,&#8221; Tuzinski said. &#8220;We are blessed with a lot of community spirited individuals.&#8221;</p><p>Amy Campbell, the treasurer of Families for Forty Fort Park, said the group starts organizing the holiday event in September.</p><p>&#8220;Everything is free,&#8221; Campbell said. &#8220;We want the park to be a place where everyone can come.&#8221;</p><p>Children played basketball while others played on the playground and ran around with friends. Parents stood nearby and chatted with each other.</p><p>TJ Belt, a balloon artist, was kept busy all afternoon with requests for balloon creations. A refreshment table offered free homemade cookies to everyone.</p><p>&#8220;This was great,&#8221; Karen Williams said.</p><p>As far as Williams&#8217; daughter, Autumn called Santa to ask him to bring her a drum set with sticks this year.</p><style>
