<p>HANOVER TWP. &#8212; More than 17,000 cookies will be up for grabs Saturday during the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church Fourth Annual Cookie Walk.</p><p>The premise of the cookie walk is to buy a container for $8, which Dominick Constantino, director of youth ministry at the church, said holds roughly two dozen, and walk from station to station filling it with a variety of cookies.</p><p>According to Costantino, cookies of all kinds from ginger snaps to anise, lemon to ricotta will be available.</p><p>&#8220;If you can think of a cookie,&#8221; he said, &#8220;we&#8217;ll have it.&#8221;</p><p>Constantino advised certain cookies have limits to &#8220;prevent people from taking all one kind.&#8221;</p><p>Some cookies, like chocolate chip, are prepared in the basement of the church with the ministry and others are baked by parishioners of the church.</p><p>During cookie preparation on Dec. 12, youth ministry members Kevin Caffrey, 11, Kaelee Kane, 15, and Sarah Dule, 14, agreed chocolate chip are their favorite cookies. Kaitlin Bradford, 16, stood out as she proudly announced her favorite is the oatmeal raisin.</p><p>According to Bradford, preparation for the event takes the ministry about a month and the fresh cookies last a while.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve had cookies past New Years into January,&#8221; she said.</p><p>Money raised during the walk helps the youth ministry and is the biggest fundraiser for the group. It allows members to go to Diocese of Scranton events and national events, such as the recently-held National Catholic Youth Conference, Constaino said.</p><p>The Fourth Annual Cookie Walk will be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. To pre-order containers, donate cookies or for more information, call volunteers Lori Kratz at 570-262-6413 or Joan Cunard at 570-814-6444.</p><style>
