<p>KINGSTON &#8212; Police said a large armed response to a home on North Welles Avenue Tuesday afternoon was the result of a suicide call.</p><p>Many of the officers who responded to the scene around 2 p.m. carried rifles or ballistic shields, and police briefly shut down traffic on the street around the the double block home.</p><p>When officers first arrived, several moved around the house in formation with weapons drawn. Some officers then entered the residence, while others remained outside and occasionally moved around the perimeter of the building.</p><p>Police officers later cleared the structure and paramedics arrived at the scene around 2:22 p.m. Kingston police chief Michael Krzywicki confirmed it was a suicide call, and declined to comment further.</p><div class="metaInfo"><bylineMeta></bylineMeta></div>
