Do you feel like you’re running out of time trying to check off everyone on your list? Are you still struggling with what to get for that party host? Or perhaps you’d like to return the favor to the neighbor who baked you a tray of delicious cookies but everything you place in the oven comes out black and crisp? Here is a delicious recipe for chocolate chip oatmeal cookies that you don’t have to bake and you can create batches in bulk. Never go gift-less again, throw a jar of these ingredients in your car or purse and you can stop stressing about what to give that coworker who gives you a yearly trinket.

You will need:

A quart mason jar

3/4 cups of flour

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup white sugar

(1 egg, 1/2 cup butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla will be needed to complete the recipe.)

Begin by combining the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl. When the flour mixture is complete, layer the ingredients in a quart mason jar - preferably one with a wide mouth. A piece of paper folded into the shape of a cone may help with getting the ingredients into the jar. Start with the oats, followed by the chocolate chips, the flour mixture completed in step one, the brown sugar, and top it all off with the white sugar.

Create a label for the jar with the remaining steps for the recipe: Combine contents of jar with 1 egg, 1/2 cup butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and bake for 12 minutes at 325 degrees.

Top the jar off with some ribbon or a decorative bow. Make a bunch and you can be as well stocked with gifts as Santa’s Toy Shop.
