ALDEN: St. Andrew&#8217;s Episcopal Church, 12 E. Kirmar Ave., invites the public to Christmas Eve Holy Eucharist at 7:30 p.m.All baptized christians are welcome. Father Charles Warwick is celebrant.EDWARDSVILLE: Candlelight service at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve at Dr. Edwards Memorial Congregational Church, Main and Church streets. The Rev. Shawn Walker, pastor, along with the Rev. Edward Gospodinski, pastor of Bethesda Congregational Church, will conduct the service. Special music will be provided by the choir and Morris Walker.EDWARDSVILLE: Christmas Eve candle light communion service at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church. 25 Zerby Ave. Special music, Christmas Carols and special candle light closing will conclude the service.Everyone is welcome! We are handicap accessible.LUZERNE: Candle light service at 10 p.m. Thursday at Bennett Presbyterian Church, 501 Bennett St. . Traditional Christmas Carols will conclude the service ending with singing of Silent Night. Handicap accessible and all are welcome.WILKES-BARRE: Receiving the Peace light will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec 23 at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 401 E. Main St., from the Bethlehem grotto.There are a limited number of lanterns available for sale at the church for visitors to take the light home, or participants can bring their own lantern.An Akathist to the nativity will be celebrated following the reception of the light.
