Police charge Lackawanna, Luzerne county men with drug possession

Police: Man provided false name to avoid arrest on warrants

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; City officers on patrol Wednesday evening saw a suspicious vehicle in the area of George Avenue, police said.</p><p>Upon further investigation, police found Davante Dempsey, 23, in the vehicle. Police learned that Dempsey had an outstanding warrant from the Rockland County Sheriff&#8217;s Department in New York.</p><p>He was jailed in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on that warrant.</p><style>
