R, 118 minutes</p><p><strong>THE HATEFUL EIGHT &#8212;</strong> While racing toward the town of Red Rock in post-Civil War Wyoming, bounty hunter John &#8220;The Hangman&#8221; Ruth (Kurt Russell) and his fugitive prisoner (Jennifer Jason Leigh) encounter another bounty hunter (Samuel L. Jackson) and a man who claims to be a sheriff. Hoping to find shelter from a blizzard, the group travels to a stagecoach stopover located on a mountain pass. Greeted there by four strangers, the eight travelers soon learn they may not make it to their destination after all. R, 168 minutes</p><p><strong>THE BIG SHORT &#8212; </strong>In 2008, Wall Street guru Michael Burry realizes a number of subprime home loans are in danger of defaulting. Burry bets against the housing market by throwing more than $1 billion of his investors&#8217; money into credit default swaps. His actions attract the attention of banker Jared Vennett (Ryan Gosling), hedge-fund specialist Mark Baum (Steve Carell) and other greedy opportunists. Together, these men make a fortune by taking full advantage of the impending economic collapse in America. R, 130 minutes</p><p><strong>THE DANISH GIRL</strong> &#8212; With support from his loving wife Gerda (Alicia Vikander), artist Einar Wegener (Eddie Redmayne) prepares to undergo one of the first sex-change operations. R, 120 minutes</p><p><strong>POINT BREAK</strong> &#8212; Thrill-seeking criminals perform daredevil stunts to steal money and gems, only to give them away to the poor and less fortunate. Training for a job with the FBI, young recruit Johnny Utah suspects only extreme athletes could pull off these heists. Using his own special skills, Utah infiltrates the gang of thieves after befriending their charismatic leader, Bodhi. R, 114 minutes</p><p><strong>CONCUSSION</strong> &#8212; Forensic pathologist Dr. Bennet Omalu (Will Smith) discovers chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a disease that causes brain trauma for football players. Not rated, 123 minutes</p><p><strong>DADDY&#8217;S HOME </strong> &#8212; A mild-mannered radio executive (Will Ferrell) competes for the affection of his stepchildren when their freewheeling and freeloading father (Mark Wahlberg) shows up. PG-13, 96 minutes</p><p><strong>SISTERS</strong> &#8212; Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reunite for this film about two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. R; 118 minutes.</p><p><strong>STARS WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS</strong> &#8212; The further adventures of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher). PG-13; 135 minutes</p><p><strong>ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: THE ROAD CHIP</strong> &#8212; Through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in Miami &#8212; and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal. PG; 88 minutes.</p><p><strong>CREED</strong> &#8212; Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) never knew his famous father, boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died before Adonis was born. However, boxing is in his blood, so he seeks out Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and asks the retired champ to be his trainer. PG-13; 130 minutes.</p><p><strong>THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY, PART 2</strong> &#8212; Realizing the stakes are no longer just for survival, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) teams up with her closest friends, including Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and Finnick for the ultimate mission.
