<p>HAZLE TWP. &#8212; Women&#8217;s Distribution Services in the Humboldt Industrial Park is expanding its facility for the second time, the company&#8217;s chief operating officer said Thursday.</p><p>Women&#8217;s Distribution Services, known as WDS, moved from a nearly 50,000-square-foot building at 572 Oak Ridge Road to a 66,230-square foot building at 575 Oak Ridge Road in August. Now WDS, is expanding again as Mericle Commercial Real Estate is constructing a 21,910-square-foot addition to the building to create a total 88,140-square-feet.</p><p>&#8220;WDS is very excited about expanding its storage and distribution hub in Hazleton,&#8221; Shawn Bush, chief operating officer at WDS said in a news release. &#8220;I foresee the added capacity to increase product depths offered and to expand our concentration to a wider area in the Northeast.&#8221;</p><p>The new addition is slated for completion in March, said Jim Cummings, vice president of marketing at Mericle Commercial Real Estate.</p><p>A total of 10 jobs are expected to be created between the two expansions, Cummings said. For information on employment opportunities at WDS visit, <a href="http://www.womends.com/careers" target="_blank">www.womends.com/careers</a>.</p><p>&#8220;We are glad we had workable space in proximity to WDS,&#8221; Jim Hilsher, vice president at Mericle Commercial Real Estate said in a news release. &#8220;The project will help the company retain and create jobs and provide for future growth.&#8221;</p><p>WDS, headquartered in Lake Wylie, South Carolina, started in 2007 by providing sustainable packaging for the food industry. In 2008, WDS became a certified Woman-Owned Business Enterprise by the Women&#8217;s Business Enterprise National Council.</p><p>Today, WDS provides services for food processing, medical and technology industries through a network of 17 distribution centers and four manufacturing operations located in the U.S. and Canada.</p><style>
