EXETER: The Cosmopolitan Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, in St. Anthony&#8217;s Center. Host/hostess are Frank Balcavage, Rose Gunsior, Frank Onda, and Irene Parini.Thirty six members and four guests attended the previous meeting and the 50/50 winners were Frank Balcavage, Bernie Bednar, Marie Cheskiewicz, Mary Coleman and Betsie Williams.Frances Poluske won the special game prize and the jackpot prize was shared by Bernie Bednar and Kay Haddock. Theresa Bekanich won the basket raffle.A trip to Sands Casino is scheduled in February. Pick ups are in Exeter and Pittston. Club membership is not required to join our trips. The center will remain open for all normal activities.Blood pressure screenings will be done at 10:30 a.m. by Traditional Hospice.Information will be presented at 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday regarding cutting your energy costs.Physician assistant students from Kings College will be hosting health fair screenings from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday. Various screenings will be performed free of charge by the students.There will be a special Martin Luther King lunch on Friday and January birthdays will be celebrated.The center will be closed on Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.A representative from Griswold Home Care will be at the center at 1 p.m. the last Thursday of each month to lead an Alzheimer&#8217;s support group. Please feel free to join the group.We are currently accepting new memberships, as well as asking our members to update their information cards for the new year.
