Family: Constable who shot girl not to blame for her death

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Federal prosecutors have again requested a continuance in the theft trial of former city towing contractor Leo A. Glodzik III in order negotiate a potential plea agreement.</p><p>In a court filing Wednesday, Assistant U.S. Attorney Michelle L. Olshefski wrote that plea talks are ongoing but more time is needed to conclude negotiations. Additional requests to continue the trial were granted in June and July of 2015.</p><p>Glodzik, 44, of Wilkes-Barre, was indicted by a federal grand jury in August 2014 along with Amanda Magda and former Wilkes-Barre police officer Tino Ninotti, 35, on bank fraud related charges over a questionable loan issued by the Wilkes-Barre City Employees Federal Credit Union.</p><p>Magda, 30, was sentenced in November before U.S. District Judge A. Richard Caputo to time served and two years supervised release.</p><p>U.S. District Judge A. Richard Caputo on Monday set new sentencing dates for former Ninotti and fellow former city police officer Jason Anthony. Both had previously had pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges in the credit union case.
