West Pittston police request public’s assistance in locating suspect in Gerrity’s theft

KINGSTON &#8212; A Plains Township woman, who was charged earlier in the week with conspiring with a teen to rob an American Legion, now faces additional charges in another robbery.Edwardsville police charged Deborah Davis, 41, Thursday with two counts of conspiracy, alleging that she pressured Dalton Plath, 18, to rob KJ&#8217;s Pickle Barrel on Dec. 18.According to an affidavit, Davis told Plath, her daughter&#8217;s boyfriend, to rob the business &#8220;because she needed the money.&#8221;Plath alleged that Davis, with whom Plath lived, told him if he didn&#8217;t go forward with the robbery, he would be thrown out of the house. Davis, he said, parked behind the business in a maroon Ford Escape while he robbed the store and told him not to get caught.It is alleged that Plath then robbed the store with a semiautomatic weapon.Plath said upon return to their home, both he and Davis counted the money which came to $400, with Davis keeping the entire amount and saying, &#8220;now I can pay rent.&#8221;Earlier this week, Davis was charged by Plains Township police with three counts of conspiracy for alegedly taking part in a robbery on Oct. 6 at the American Legion in the township.According to court documents, Plath took $1,500 from that establishment with Davis&#8217; aid.Davis was arraigned on the current charges Thursday and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 1 p.m. on Jan. 28.She remains at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.<div class="metaInfo"><bylineMeta>By Geri Gibbonsggibbons@www.timesleader.com</bylineMeta></div><div class="metaInfo"><shirttailMeta>Reach Geri Gibbons at 570-991-6117 or on Twitter @TLGGibbons</shirttailMeta></div>
