<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Investigation into a fire on Carey Avenue late Saturday night is continuing, according to Wilkes-Barre Fire Captain Robert Suchoski.</p><p>According to Suchoski, the three-alarm fire caused extensive damage in every area of a vacant double-block house at 77-75 Carey Avenue.</p><p>Firefighters arrived on scene at about 10:30 p.m. to heavy smoke and flames in the rear of the house.</p><p>According to fire chief Ed Snarksi, the fire was so intense at one point that firefighters crawled &#8220;on their bellies&#8221; out of the structure.</p><p>Adjacent houses at 79 and 71 Carey Ave. sustained heat damage to their exteriors. There were no injuries.</p><style>
