I was getting a haircut recently at a barbershop in Plymouth when a guy walked in, sat down and started talking about President Barack Obama and his newly proposed gun checks. The guy proceeded to tell everyone about how many guns and rounds of ammo he had.He then talked about what would happen if the police came to take his guns: &#8220;Most people would shoot at the chest because it&#8217;s the biggest target, but because of the bulletproof vests it wouldn&#8217;t be effective. If you shoot at the legs, you can kill someone just as fast.&#8221;This got me thinking about the difference between a gun enthusiast and a gun nut.This guy probably sits around thinking about these scenarios in his free time. He probably fancies himself a patriotic American. I consider him a danger, and maybe someone who shouldn&#8217;t have a gun.This is the guy who my congressman, Lou Barletta, seemingly represents and supports when he speaks out against the president&#8217;s closing of gun law loopholes. Just how many of these paranoid gun nuts live among us?We&#8217;ll find out if Barletta gets elected to another term.Scott CannonPlymouth
