HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — The CVS drugstore chain has agreed to pay $450,000 to Pennsylvania to settle allegations that it sold over-the-counter drugs, infant formula and dairy products after their expiration date. In a consent decree filed Wednesday, the Pennsylvania attorney general's office said CVS agreed to step up its screening of expired products and training of store managers and employees. The latest investigation stemmed from allegations that CVS continued to sell expired products after a 2010 agreement in which it agreed to voluntarily set up a system to ensure such products weren't sold. Agents who followed up said they found expired products at five of the six CVS stores they visited. An email and voice mail seeking comment from a CVS spokesman weren't returned.
