Come to the Hoyt Library to celebrate Amelia Bedelia Week from Jan. 25 to 30 and have fun making a different Amelia Bedelia craft each day.Amelia Bedelia is the protagonist and principal character in books written by Peggy Parish, until her passing in 1988. She is a delightful character and has been a favorite of young children for generations.Amelia repeatedly misunderstands what she is asked to do and interprets commands very literally. If she is asked to make a sponge cake she makes it out of actual sponges; if she is asked to weed the garden, she plants weeds.Join in the fun even more by coming in dressed like Amelia Bedelia and while supplies last you can receive a special treat.Call the Hoyt Library at 570-287-2013 for additional information.
