<p>Melissa Francis and Michael Malenovitch, together with family, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.</p><p>The bride-to-be is the daughter of Clifford and Debbie Francis of Wilkes-Barre. She is the granddaughter of Thomas Iskra Sr. and the late MaryAnn Iskra, Wilkes-Barre, and the late Marie Powell and Harold Francis, Trenton, New Jersey.</p><p>The prospective groom is the son of Michael Malenovitch Sr., Plains, and Theresa Biniek, Plains. He is the grandson of Joan Biniek and the late Andrew Biniek, Plains, and the late Robert and Betty Malenovitch, Miners Mills.</p><p>The bride-to-be is a 2006 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School and Wilkes-Barre Area Vocational Technical. She earned her Cosmetology license in 2010 and a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from King&#8217;s College in 2015. She is employed as a staff accountant at Benco Dental, Pittston.</p><p>The prospective groom is a 2007 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School and attended Wilkes University. He is employed at Susquehanna Brewing Company, Pittston.</p><p>The couple will exchange vows Sept. 9, 2016, at St. Peter and Paul&#8217;s Church in Plains. An evening cocktail hour and reception will follow at the Appletree Terrace, Dallas.</p><style>
